Claudia Bloom-piano, Joe Corral-flute, Stephen Douglas-bass, Emerson Laffey-drums, featuring Lyn Jackson-vocals

Claudia Bloom and Lyn Jackson, two former Chicago residents with very different musical backgrounds, team up for an evening of jazz standards with a twist. From standards by Duke Ellington to the more recent standards of Robert Glasper, we arrange some great songs with humor and an ear for the unusual! We will be joined by the wonderful flautist Joe Corral.

Lyn Jackson, an ‘Outstanding’ Jazz, R&B and Pop vocalist has been pleasing crowds all over the U.S with her ‘crystal clear’ sultry voice.  While audiences enjoy Lyn’s smooth and sexy sound, they are awed by the strong presence she portrays on stage.  Her vocal style resembles such artists as Sarah Vaughn, Gladys Knight, Natalie Cole, Celine Dion, and Alicia Keys.

Born and raised in Chicago, IL Lyn started her career as the lead singer of  the teenage trio “The Sequins.”  Their single, “Hey Romeo” hit the Top 40 on Billboard’s R&B charts. Lyn’s most recent CD is “Love’s Journey”, which includes six original songs that were written and produced by her.  She also has a music video “You’re No Longer Mine” on YouTube, which is included on her CD.
