Delphine Cortez-vocals, Tony Vacca-sax/flute, Joel Robin-piano, Adrian Goldenthal-bass, Julian Goldenthal-drums

Valley-icon vocalist Delphine Cortez. Delphine sang in top jazz clubs on Rush Street in Chicago, and has been one of the most in-demand vocalists since the mid-80’s. While clearly having her own style, Delphine carries on the tradition of the great ladies of jazz, such as Sarah Vaughan, Ella Fitzgerald, and her musical idol, Nancy Wilson. She performs with unique style and grace.

International Jazz Journalist Patricia Myers said, “Delphine Cortez literally takes possession of each song so firmly that one does not think of comparing Delphine’s style to anyone else’s – Delphine sings as only Delphine can. Her voice evokes warmth and passion with remarkable depth and range.”

Tony Vacca and Joel Robin first started playing together back in the early 80s. Frequently confused for one another off, Tony and Joel often refer to themselves as “brothers from another mother.” Tony and Joel have always played well together with a special chemistry. The band plays several of Tony’s originals, and always pleases the audience with very funky jazz ballad called “I’m Sorry” by Mike Mannieri.

Completing the rhythm section are Joel Robin’s sons Adrian on bass and Julian on drums – both of whom have been playing on a professional level since their teens.  What better way to unwind than at The Nash with these Valley favorites!
